Coffs Coast Legacy values the support of our volunteers everyday and National Volunteer Week is a great opportunity to acknowledge this. The heart and soul of Legacy is our community programs that support the families of deceased and incapacitated veterans.
We have two ways of volunteering with Legacy in the community, one is to be inducted as a member, also known as a Legatee. The other is to volunteer as a Friend of Legacy, for those who identify with our cause, but may not have the time required to carry out the role of a Legatee.
Our community and Legacy Assist volunteers work in a variety of roles, including home visits, hospital/aged care facility visits, fundraising, assisting at functions and administration. Without them, we would not be able to offer the level of support to our beneficiaries that is needed.
